All client and firm data remains securely within the platform and is never sold, shared, or used to train external AI systems. At CountingWorks PRO, we built **MAX**, our proprietary AI engine, to help tax and accounting professionals work faster, serve clients better, and uncover valuable insights. Because we take client confidentiality extremely seriously, we want to clearly explain **how MAX works and how your data is protected.** --- #### **First: Your Data Stays Secure** All firm and client information submitted through ClientHub and the CountingWorks PRO platform is stored in a **secure, private environment controlled by CountingWorks.** Your data is **not public, not shared, and not sold.** We do **not sell personally identifiable client information to third parties.** All information remains inside our secure platform infrastructure and is only used to deliver services you choose to use. --- ### **What MAX Actually Does** MAX is designed to **assist professionals—not replace them.** It analyzes information already within your platform to help automate tasks and surface insights. Examples include: - Summarizing client communications • Identifying potential tax planning opportunities • Automating workflows and reminders • Drafting responses to client questions • Generating marketing content or blog articles • Supporting advisory playbooks selected by the firm MAX acts like a **digital assistant trained specifically for tax and accounting firms.** It helps organize information and suggest actions so professionals can focus on client service. --- ### **What MAX Does NOT Do** To be very clear: MAX does **not** use your client data to train public AI models. Your information is **never used to train tools like ChatGPT or other external AI systems.** MAX also does **not**: ❌ Sell client data ❌ Share client data with third parties ❌ Publish confidential information ❌ Use personally identifiable data outside your firm environment Your data remains within the **CountingWorks PRO secure platform**. --- ### **Why the Disclosure Exists** Because MAX analyzes information to assist firms with insights and automation, we provide a disclosure explaining how data may be processed within the platform. This disclosure ensures: - Transparency • Regulatory compliance • Clear expectations for firms and their clients It is similar to disclosures used by many accounting software platforms that incorporate automation or AI. --- ### **AI Is Optional and Controlled by the Firm** Firms maintain control over how AI-powered features are used. If a firm prefers not to use certain MAX capabilities, those features can be disabled.
