🔍 What Are To-Dos?
To-Dos let you assign tasks to your clients through the ClientHub. Whether it's submitting documents, answering questions, or completing forms, To-Dos help you streamline communication and follow-up.
Once assigned, clients are:
- Notified via email that they have tasks to complete.
- Reminded regularly (based on your settings) until they log into the ClientHub and mark tasks as complete.
📋 Creating a To-Do List Template (Recommended for Reuse)
If you often assign the same tasks to multiple clients, save time by creating a reusable To-Do List Template.
Steps to create a template:
- Go to Workflow > To-Dos.
- Click the orange “New List” button in the top-right corner.
- Name your list (e.g., "New Client Onboarding").
- Add your To-Do items.
- Click Save.
💡 Templates can be reused for any client — great for tax prep checklists, onboarding, and recurring tasks.
👤 Assigning To-Dos to Clients
You can assign tasks from a saved template or create one-off To-Dos for any client.
To assign To-Dos:
- Navigate to ClientHub > Locate the client you want to assign tasks to > Click on Client Name > Workflow > To-Dos.
- Select one of the following:
- + Template List (Apply a saved To-Do List Template)
- + New To-Do (Create and assign a single To-Do)
- + Template List (Apply a saved To-Do List Template)
Clients will receive email alerts and reminders until tasks are marked as complete.
🔁 Setting Reminder Frequency
When assigning a To-Do, you can choose how often the client is reminded. Customize this to match the urgency or deadline of the task.
- Example: Remind every 3 days until completed.
- Notifications stop once the client completes the To-Do.
