Google Analytics Bot and Spider Report Filtering
The Internet is full of spam bots that may visit your website and alter your traffic reports. These web spiders will increase your bounce rates and artificially hurt your data.
ClientWhys adds known intruders to block list which minimizes this traffic. Though this is an ongoing battle and the source always changes.
To help identify real traffic that comes to your site, Google has added a bot and spider filtering option.
From Google Analytics, you can click the checkbox in the view level management dashboard. Choose "Exclude traffic from known bots and spiders". Using this filter will exclude spiders an traffic from known sources. This will allow you to track the true number of visitors and statistics that are coming to your site.
