Nano Courses: How They Work & Common Questions

Nano Courses are short, focused micro-courses that follow strict NASBA guidelines. Because of these requirements, Nano Courses work differently than our other CPE offerings. This article explains what to expect, including viewing rules, quizzes, and how to access your certificate.

Q: What is a Nano Course?
A: Nano Courses are short micro-learning courses that run about 10–15 minutes.

Q: Who can take a Nano Course?
A: Anyone can take a Nano Course, but only CPAs receive 0.2 CPE credit.

Q: Why can’t I skip or fast-forward the course?
A: Nano Courses must be watched in full before the quiz unlocks. Skipping and fast-forwarding are not allowed under NASBA guidelines.

Q: When does the quiz become available?
A: The quiz appears only after the full presentation is completed.

Q: How many quiz questions are there?
A: Each Nano Course includes two quiz questions.

Q: What happens if I fail the quiz?
A: You must re-watch the entire course before you can retake the quiz. You cannot skip directly to the quiz. This is required by NASBA.

Q: Where is the Next button?
A: The Next button appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen after the presentation finishes.

Q: Where is the course material?
A: Course material can be found in the Additional Reference section of the course.

Q: How do I get my certificate?
A: After passing the quiz, exit the course, complete the survey, and then download your certificate.
