Time Tracking and Billing by the Hour in ClientHub Payments

Our new Time Tracking feature in ClientHub Payments allows you to track and bill clients by the hour down to the minute. This guide will walk you through the process of setting up and using this feature effectively.

Getting Started

Before you begin, ensure that:

  • You are logged into your portal at app.countingworkspro.com
  • Your Payments setup is complete
  • Your Paid Services are configured

Tracking Time for a Client

  1. Select a Customer
    • Navigate to the Customer Detail page.
    • Click on the Track button on the left panel.
  2. Start Tracking
    • A pop-up window will appear.
    • Select the service you want to track (e.g., Tax Resolution).
    • Click Start Tracking to begin logging billable time.
  3. Managing the Time Tracker
    • The time tracker window will appear on your screen.
    • Click the Lock button to pin the window in place.
    • Click the Unlock button to freely move it around your screen.
  4. Stop Tracking
    • When you’re finished, click Stop Tracking to log the recorded time.

Creating and Editing an Invoice

  1. Generate an Invoice
    • Once tracking is stopped, the system will automatically generate an invoice.
    • The tracked time will appear.
  2. Edit the Invoice
    • Click the Edit button next to the tracked time to make adjustments.
    • Alternatively, edit the time directly on the invoice.
  3. Send the Invoice
    • Once all details are finalized, click Send to bill the client and receive payment.
