As part of our ongoing commitment to providing secure, reliable, and modern technology, CountingWorks PRO is permanently retiring its legacy systems on October 31, 2026. All customers have been transitioned to CountingWorks PRO 3.0, our updated platform designed to better support today's tax and accounting professionals.
Why Are We Retiring the Legacy Systems?
Technology continues to evolve, and older systems eventually reach a point where they can no longer meet modern security, performance, and functionality standards.
By moving to CountingWorks PRO 3.0, we're able to provide:
- Improved security: Modern infrastructure that supports ongoing security updates and helps protect sensitive information.
- Better performance and reliability: A platform built to support the changing needs of your firm.
- Modern tools and features: Access to enhanced client management, communications, automation, and other capabilities designed to improve efficiency.
- Continued innovation: A foundation that allows us to introduce new features and improvements as technology advances.
This transition is an important step toward ensuring your firm has access to technology that remains secure, supported, and ready for the future.
How Was This Transition Communicated?
We've been preparing for this transition for approximately two years and have communicated the upcoming retirement of our legacy systems through multiple channels, including emails, phone calls, and announcements within the legacy platform.
We understand that important communications can sometimes be missed, and we recognize that transitioning to a new system can require adjustments. Our goal is to make the process as straightforward as possible and help every customer move forward successfully.
What Happened to My Clients and Documents?
If you had client lists or documents stored in our legacy systems, we've already migrated that information to CountingWorks PRO 3.0 for you.
You do not need to manually transfer your existing client information or create a new account.
To access your updated platform, visit app.countingworkspro.com. Use your existing email address and select Forgot Password if you haven't established your new login credentials.
What If My Website or Landing Page Is Offline?
Although your account information has been migrated, your website or blog landing page may require a separate DNS settings update to connect to the new platform.
Websites still pointing to our retired legacy servers will no longer function until their DNS settings are updated.
